  1. What about Colombian products into the United States? Do you have a “list” of products that would enter duty free to the States?

      Our understanding is that 99% of Colombian qualifying industrial and textile goods are now duty free. 89% of Colombian agricultural goods are also now duty free. Duties on many other tariff lines will be phased out over a period of up to 15 years, with some agricultural tariff rate quotas. While Colombia is expected to fill its new sugar TRQ, the FTA is likely to have a minor effect on U.S. imports and production of sugar and sugar containing products.

  3. I’m a small business owner in Pennsylvania, currently I’m in the process of launching my own line of Organic airbrush tanning solutions as well as other skin care products for airbrushed skin. I would like to be a distributer in Bogota what’s the best way to start that process? Any help on which entity to contact would be greatly appreciated. Does that type of product make it into the free trade aggreement?

  7. How does this agreement affect the shipment of personal items (specificaly, a used computer) from the USA to a university student in Colombia.

    1. Personal items are not ruled by the FTA.

I have a Business Management degree, 20 plus years of experience with titles such as Warranty Engineer, Manufactures Representative, Brand Manager, and entrepreneur (real estate investing, construction, etc…).
